Juried High School Exhibition
Art has been utilized throughout history to promote awareness to social issues. These works have initiated a discussion about controversies and societal changing norms. In recent times modern and contemporary artists have tackled the gender issue through their work. LBUSD high school students were asked to address issues such as the relationship between gender and society, and how culture shapes one's gender identity. They were also asked to reflect on society's changing view of gender. Join us on March 19, 2017 to celebrate these young artists at a special reception from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
