Long Beach, CA – The Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) will open its newest exhibition on July 16, 2016 entitled Vitality and Verve: In the Third Dimension, (V&V3D). The exhibition is the second in the Vitality and Verve series presented in concert with the international mural event POW! WOW! LBMA After Dark Summer Event is Coming June 26

Dance Under the Stars With Live Music, DJ, and Experience the Museum’s Newest Exhibition Vitality & Verve: Transforming The Urban Landscape

Long Beach, CA – The Long Beach Museum of Art will host its summer LBMA After Dark event on Friday, June 26 from 7pm – 10 pm. The event will feature DJ Rodi (Rodi Delgadillo), owner of Soulific Records and cofounder of the “good foot,” spinning records for a dance party under the stars, live music including performances by Kristi Ticerhurst and the POW! WOW! School of Music, and refreshments provided by the museum’s restaurant Claire’s at the Museum. Moreover, the outdoor activities will also feature a hookah lounge courtesy of So Cal Hookahs and exhibition sponsor Montana Cans will offer samples of their acrylic paint markers for attendees to try out on paper and/or mini canvases. Long Beach Museum of Art Announces Middle School Biennial Exhibition Featuring Works of Art Created By Middle School Students From Long Beach Unified School District

LONG BEACH, CA (April 17, 2015) – The Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) will open a new exhibition on April 19 featuring works of art from middle school students from the Long Beach Unified School District (LBUSD).  The Middle School Biennial Exhibition will feature 100 works from students inspired to illustrate a scene from a variety of popular literature including novels such as Moby Dick and the Harry Potter series. Long Beach Museum of Art Announces $2 Million Gift from Dr. Ronald and Mrs. Sylvia Hartman

Museum Gallery Building to be Named The Hartman Pavilion; Gift is the Largest to a Cultural Institution in the City of Long Beach

Long Beach, CA – The Long Beach Museum of Art (LBMA) has received a $2 million gift, the largest single gift in the Museum’s 65-year-history, from Philanthropists Dr. Ronald and Mrs. Sylvia Hartman. The Hartmans have been long-time supporters of the Museum and Mrs. Hartman currently serves as a Foundation Board Trustee and is also a member of Phoenix, the Museum’s volunteer fundraising group. To honor the Hartmans for their generous gift, the Museum’s gallery pavilion will be named The Hartman Pavilion. The gift from the Hartmans represents the largest single gift to any cultural institution in the city of Long Beach.
