Who is a Docent?

⦁ A positive individual who enjoys learning from and working with students
⦁ Someone who delights in engagement and discussion with others
⦁ An individual who welcomes feedback to better their practice 
⦁ Someone who is flexible, open to diverse perspectives, new experiences, and adopts a growth mindset
⦁ A supporter of one’s peers and the Education Department’s mission 
⦁ A person committed to helping make the museum a welcoming and inclusive space for all

Time Commitment

⦁ Complete initial one-month training with continued education throughout the year  
⦁ A one-year commitment to the program
⦁ Lead a minimum of two KidsVisions tours per month, held Monday-Wednesday between 10am -1:30pm
⦁ Attend monthly docent meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month  

All ages, abilities, and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. No previous teaching experience or knowledge of art required. Recruitment will begin in May 2025 for training in August. Click here to apply.
