Driving & Parking
Free parking and EV charging stations are available in the Museum parking lot on Ocean Blvd, one block west of the main entrance. Metered parking is also available on the beach. To park on the beach, turn off Ocean Blvd at Junipero and follow the road to the parking lot. From this area, there are stairs to the Museum.
Public Transportation
LB Transit bus route 121 will drop guests off directly in front of the museum. On weekdays the 121 runs every 20-30 minutes and on weekends runs every 30 minutes. This bus runs from 5:02 am - 11:50 pm seven days a week. Additional routes (21, 22, 23, 91, 92, 93, and 94) all run within a short walk to the museum.
Dine at Claire's
Set on the beautifully landscaped campus of the Long Beach Museum of Art, Claire’s oceanfront dining area features an unobstructed view of the Queen Mary, Catalina Island, and artist Claire Falkenstein’s stunning water sculpture, Structure and Flow.

Please do not touch or lean on objects or display cases
Please remain at least two feet away from all objects
No food or beverages in the galleries
Please use only pencils for note-taking
Gallery Attendants reserve the right to inspect all bags, boxes, or packages upon entry and exit
No weapons, firearms, or hazardous materials are permitted on museum property
Umbrellas, briefcases, backpacks, and bags over 14 x 17 x 8 inches can damage artworks and specimens. Please check them in at the admission desk
Nothing is permitted to be carried on one’s back, including backpacks, drawstring bags, and purses
Baby carriers must be worn facing front. Backpack-style carriers may be checked at the admission desk
Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Please do not let children under the age of 12 push strollers or wheelchairs
Children may not be carried on shoulders or held over objects and displays
Have fun, but do not run, push, or shove
Smoking is prohibited
Pets are prohibited from entering the museum. Service dogs are welcome
Please refrain from using your cell phone within the exhibition areas

SERVICE ANIMALS
The Long Beach Museum of Art is committed to welcoming a wide and diverse audience, including those assisted by trained service animals. LBMA complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which defines service animals as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. The task(s) performed by the dog must be directly related to the person’s disability. LBMA allows service dogs in all public areas of the Museum and Claire’s at the Museum restaurant.
The Long Beach Museum of Art and Claire’s at the Museum do not allow Emotional Support Animals (ESA) on campus. Emotional Support Animals, Comfort Animals, or Therapy Animals which provide comfort do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
GETTING AROUND THE MUSEUM
All of the Museum’s galleries are accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors who cannot use stairs.
Street Entry
An accessible ramp entry is located on the corner of 19th Pl and Ocean Blvd up to the Hartman Pavilion and Museum grounds. A second ramp entry is located on the East side of the Anderson House, leading to the restrooms.
Accessible Parking
Free accessible parking is available at LBMA and LBMA Downtown. LBMA’s parking lot is located on Ocean Boulevard, one block west of the main entrance. LBMA Downtown’s parking lot is situated behind the gallery on Elm Street.
Elevators
To aid physical distancing, elevator capacity is limited to one group. Elevators are disinfected regularly.
Restrooms
Every restroom at LBMA and LBMA Downtown is wheelchair accessible.
Wheelchairs
All galleries and facilities are wheelchair accessible. A limited number of wheelchairs are available free of charge in the lobby on a first-come, first-served basis. You may call ahead to reserve a wheelchair at (562) 439-2119 or email Visitor Services. Wheelchairs are disinfected before and after each use.

LBMA on Ocean, located on the scenic California coastline, the Museum’s grounds comprise a historic 1911 craftsman home, two-story gallery space, and unobstructed view of the Queen Mary and Catalina Island. LBMA Downtown, is a gallery and meeting space in the heart of the East Village Arts District—complete with 35-foot ceilings, exposed brick walls, polished concrete floors, and sweeping natural light. Both venues are perfect for proposals, weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions (cocktail and seated), meetings, luncheons, photoshoots and more.
